Searching
The Manti represent a faction in Galactic Civilizations IV. They are led by Babble Glee.
A generation of their spawn was stolen by otherworldly raiders. The Manti's rapid response - the leap onto the galactic stage in search of their lost generation - has raised eyebrows. The Manti remain unapologetic.
The tragedy of their lost generation results in fewer starting citizens than other species, but it has united them. The Unwavering trait makes them less susceptible to culture flips from other species.
History
The first united technical achievement of the Manti was the creation of a great beacon tower, designed to announce their presence to the unknown. A few days after turning it on an answer was received: a fleet of warships appearing in orbit; raiders arriving en masse to collect every child on the planet. An entire generation, lost. Humiliated at their unsophisticated thinking, the surviving Manti and the generations that followed, began exploring space on their own. They were motivated by their fear that the raiders would return, eager to some day confront them, and find the children that were stolen.
