Artifacts

Artifacts are a kind of Anomaly that are handled somewhat differently to Space Junk and Capsules, granting the player access to a powerful one-use item, often with an option to sell them it off for Credits.

There are many different Artifacts to collect during the game, and more than one of each type can be stored simultaneously. Once claimed, Artifacts are stored in “The Vault” indefinitely, and can be played either immediately, or during any of the player’s subsequent turns.

In the screenshot above, we can see The Vault is selected and contains two instances of the warship spawning “Nanite Transmitter” artifact.

Let’s spawn our ship a few hexes away from Drengi, to give the Drengin something to think about. Simply select the Nanite Transmitter from The Vault and then select the hex on the map where you want to construct your new ship.
