Technology ages are a new concept in Galactic Civilizations III, staggering discoveries. Most research projects will require achieving a particular age before being available.

Progress through an age is measured by the number of tech points amassed (granted by unlocking technologies in the technology tree).

The Ages

  1. Age of Expansion - Default starting age.
  2. Age of War - Second stage, requires unlocking 12 technologies.
  3. Age of Ascension - Third stage, achieved after unlocking 100 technologies.
  4. Age of Ascension - A "hidden" fourth stage, referred to as the Age of Victory in the game's files. Achieved after unlocking 180 technologies.
