A civilization of organic matter that are remotely controlled by unseen entities from another dimension. These entities use the echoes as their agents and proxies in this reality, pursuing their own agendas and interests. They have clashed with other civilizations, but show little concern for their organic hosts, throwing them into battle or leaving them to be slaughtered without a perceptible reason.
