The Resistance represent a faction in Galactic Civilizations IV. They are led by Jenna Casey.

The Terran Resistance formed after the Precursor Shield fell around Earth during the height of the Drengin Empire. Years alone taught the Resistance to be resourceful. Embittered by hard lessons, it may take some time to heal the rift between them and the Alliance, should the two reconcile at all.

The Terran Resistance are excellent at making do with limited resources and have become masters at ship recycling. Years of living on the run has also taught them valuable skills at remaining hidden and operating covertly.

History

When the Drengin Empire controlled most of known space, humanity sought shelter on Earth behind the Precursor Shield. The Terran Resistance was formed by those locked out of Earth. For years they avoided all other sentient life, particularly the Drengin. Eventually, they found a safe refuge near the far rim of the galaxy, where they could rebuild.Separation from the rest of humanity and their allies taught the Resistance much, making them experts at ship recycling, asteroid mining, and operating covertly. Though some in the Resistance may dream of returning to Earth, their relationship with the Alliance is strained.
